There were around 45 participants and upon arrival at the Biodiversity Centre, they gathered for a briefing by Mr Satya Murthy, our chief tour guide.
On the way up to the Biodiversity Centre, the team was in great spirits as they huffed and puffed up the steep road.
The fittest reached up in no time at all
Once they reached the actual site where the Nissen Huts were, Mr Satya gave a more detailed briefing . Under the bright morning sun, the participants were all ears and listened with rapt attention.
REACH President, Mr.Ramakrishnan followed on the importance of reforestation with tree species endemic to the highland montane forest.
Explanation by Mr. Ramakrishnan to the participants on the different species of endemic trees that will be planted.
Saplings were then collected from the nursery and included geruk ,eugenia and rhododendron plants.
