There are two weather stations in the Cameron Highlands, one is located at 1472 meters above sea level; data from this station is available dating back to Janauary 1951. Another station is located at 1545 meters above sea level, and data from this station dates back to April 1983. The data collected at these stations includes precipitation, temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, and evaporation. The following report summarizes these data.

Foreign varsities involvement will lend credibility to claims of polluted water
KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 23, 2014:
Regional Environmental Awareness of Cameron Highlands (REACH) says water samples taken from Cameron Highlands were sent to the United States recently to test for contaminants from pesticides.
REACH president Ramakrishnan Ramasamy said the water samples had been collected by teams from Universiti Kebangssan Malaysia (UKM) and Universiti Malaysia (USM) over a period of three months since August.

Ever since farms started mushrooming in the Sg Terla water catchment area with their effluent draining directly into the intake point, ever since farm workers toilets were found discharging directly into the streams there with human faeces of different nationalities and all, ever since pesticide containers including banned ones were fished out from the intake pond on a regular basis, we have become increasingly worried about the state of our drinking water supply and their short and long term effects on the consumers.
